For air-cooled chillers, because of the water-cooling heat dissipation, there is no water cooling system for the water-cooling machine. The air-cooling machine only needs the anti-freeze for the heat-dissipating part of the air-cooling unit. So we should pay more attention to the lubricating oil of the fan if it is continuously running. There is no need to worry about the antifreeze of the lubricating oil. If the chiller is used intermittently or not used for a long time, you should pay attention to antifreeze. If it is not used for a long time, the air-cooled machine should be cleaned and coated with protective oil. It is best to be waterproof to prevent frostbite in the air-cooled machine caused by cold weather in winter. If it is used intermittently, the fan oil should be scraped off when the production is stopped, and then apply an appropriate amount of lubricant when using. In the case of normal operation of the air-cooled chiller, sufficient water flow and water pressure are ensured, and the problem that the cooling water is frozen is not substantially caused. .


Unlike the air-cooled chillers, the cooling and cooling components of water-cooled chillers are water circulation systems rather than fan systems, so the antifreeze task is more difficult, even during normal operation.

Start with the water cooling system to check and prevent the cooling and freezing. In general, the water-cooled chiller is used in winter. It is recommended to add antifreeze to the cooling water. It is necessary to pay attention to the concentration of antifreeze in water and the ratio of antifreeze to cooling water. The concentration of antifreeze in water is not enough to prevent the freezing effect. If it is added, it will corrode water cooling systems such as pipes and seasonings, towers, etc. In addition to the water cooling system, it should also start from the refrigerant. When the temperature is too low, the refrigerant may have a problem of changing the properties. In winter, if you do not use the water-cooled chiller for a short period of time, you should always start the preheating, and before the official use, you should first open the pump, cooling the water tower, and then open the compressor. 


In order to ensure the normal operation of the cooling equipment, the following points need to be noted:


1. The recommended method for preventing icing is to keep the water chiller and the equipment being cooled at a temperature above 0 °C.

2. If the temperature does not reach above 0 °C, keep the cooled equipment and the water chiller turned on. If the water in the pipe is always flowing, it can prevent icing. Of course, in this case, if the water chiller is shut down for a long time due to a malfunction or a power outage, there is also a certain risk of icing.

3. During the Spring Festival and other holidays, if the above two points are not available, the water in the water cooler tank, piping and internal water parts can be drained as much as possible. 

4. If the above methods are not possible, for the water chiller, you can add the antifreeze recommended by the ratio of addition is 3:7 (3 is antifreeze, 7 is water), after adding antifreeze, it can resist -20 °C without freezing.
